Great Britain in Berlin
British life in Berlin is not too impressive at the moment, compared to what it was when the British Army was still stationed in Berlin in the good old times. Many organizations were founded then mainly for British soldiers and have become more German when the soldiers left.

The English Scent
„In England, the home of the gentleman and the dandy, a special scent culture has evolved. The reason this culture has been able to persist in England probably has something to do with one of the most endearing traits of the country - with a tendency to eccentricity. And this is what English scents are like: out of the ordinary, different, outstanding.“

As to English food and drink, there really isn´t much. Another reason for me to include Ireland in the Britain section: At least there are the Irish Pubs.
Of which there are several all over Berlin. There is only one English Pub, however:

The Whisky Bar

English food is almost nonexistent, even Fish and Chips-Places have disappeared - some say that is because cod prices have risen lately.
This place is said to make decent Fish n`Chips though: Berlinski
Kastanienallee 23
10435 Berlin
Otherwise, if you want a taste of home, try Indian. There are places all over town, and generally the food is good and they offer good value for money.
